What Does It Mean?
ADI Accreditation
Accreditation by Assistance Dogs International (ADI) represents a mark of excellence in the assistance dog industry. ADI standards ensure that accredited organizations provide exceptional service, professionally trained assistance dogs, and thorough education for both recipients and trainers.
The accreditation process involves a peer-reviewed assessment to confirm that organizations meet ADI’s stringent criteria, which are regularly updated to reflect industry best practices. Accreditation must be renewed every five years, ensuring continuous adherence to high-quality standards.
By maintaining compliance with ADI standards, accredited organizations help guarantee that individuals with disabilities receive reliable, well-trained assistance dogs and proper education on their use and public access rights.
