Fundraising and Education for Tomorrow's Canine Helpers

FETCH - Fundraising and Education for Tomorrow's Canine HelpersA new program for schools!

FETCH is a new LASD fundraising program aimed at educating the next generation about service dogs and the life-changing impact they have on the individuals they support. The program consists of the following components:

  1. A 2-week fundraising campaign hosted by the school. Participating elementary and middle schools will be eligible to receive exclusive rewards based on their fundraising achievements! They may also choose to further engage their students through a friendly competition in which the classroom that pools the highest amount of donations wins a pizza party provided by LASD.
  2. A presentation and training demonstration hosted by Little Angels (virtual or in-person). An LASD trainer and accompanying service dog will appear as a guest speaker to thank the school for fundraising. They will perform a training demonstration as well as an informational session including topics such as:
  • The purpose of service dogs and different types;
  • Local and national laws surrounding service animals;
  • Service dog awareness and etiquette;
  • Disability awareness and inclusion in the classroom;
  • Common misconceptions and stereotypes; and
  • General information about Little Angels such as our mission, facilities, and dogs!
