Follow Duke, a service dog in training, as he spends spring semester 2022 at Plymouth State University
Duke is a Little Angels Service Dog in training on our New Hampshire ranch. This week he moved onto a college campus with one of LASD’s animal care technicians. There he will live the life of a college student for the spring semester of 2022 attending sports practice, classes, and social gatherings. His foster parent and personal trainer during his semester at college is Emily Geyselaers, a senior at Plymouth State on course with her studies in Public Health with a Social Work minor.
Duke received his basic training in a correctional facility, then transferred to a NH foster family for additional training. He will work with Emily one-on-one and return to the New Hampshire ranch in the spring to complete his training. Follow our social media for weekly updates on Duke at college.
Being a natural at down stay, classes will be a breeze, but how will Duke react to track and field practice and new social settings? Follow us to find out!
